On the music side: Dr. Dre. All his post-"Get Rich or Die Trying" beats have been wack and I'm not buying the whole The Game thing. I mean, Dre discovered Snoop and Eminem who are, whether you like them or not, two of the most important figures in the history of rap music; two cats who basically changed the game
when they came out. And the same could be said about 50 Cent to a lesser extent. The Game, on the other hand, has no charisma whatsoever, is extremely boring, brings nothing new, and even though his Eazy-E tattoos and NWA chains make me smile, and I would love to see a revival of Westcoast gangsta rap, he looks like he's just trying too hard. I don't know, it looks like a
big scam to me. Maybe Dre lost his ear and instinct. And that comes from a huge Dre fan. |
